Kale

Let me tell you, ever since we got this sweatshirt in, we have been LIVING in it! It is the softest fleece of life. Seriously, once you put it on, you won't want to take it off...ever.
The raglan sleeve means that the "shoulder flatter" is off the charts. The fit is naturally slouchy. Think back to that sweatshirt that you wore every day in middle school because "It's my signature, Mom." That thing was so worn in and fit you perfectly. It didn't hug those areas that you were too young to be concerned about, but totally were, had billowy sleeves, and was the perfect length. Girl, I know how sad you were when you finally had to part ways with it (if you haven't yet, no judgment. we still have ours, too).
Here's the grown up version, and how we like to style it like the grown up you totally are.
Denim shorts, Converse, and your signature necklace.
If you live somewhere that has the longest summer in the world and 2 weeks of fall, so you trick yourself into feeling like its fall..this is for you. For this look, we love going a size up so the sweatshirt is extra slouchy and makes you feel more fall, or whatever it is that you make yourself think it is.
The tuck.
Tan France from Queer Eye teaches every single guy the art of the "French Tuck." I can't decide if its actually something that the country of France has mastered, or if Tan named it after himself, my I have my own take on it: the "Corner Tuck." Don't ask me why I call it a corner, because shirts don't really have corners. I digress. This tuck magically accentuates your natural waist, makes you look thinner, makes your legs look eternal, and makes you look 2 inches taller than you actually are. I don't know about you, but like break me off a piece of that. Please and thank you.
The sleeve.
If you're rocking a Large even though the entire world knows you're an Extra Small, let's have some words. 1: love you and your style. 2: please, cuff your sleeves...just trust me. When I say cuff, I mean cuff, not roll. Rolling your sleeves will make you look like you have 2 fleece scrunchies from 1992 around your forearms. Let's avoid that. Take the actual cuff of the sleeve and fold it on itself at least twice. It should be flat on your arm.
"Girl, the scrunchie on your arm looks ridiculous!"
The beauty of the cuff is the juxtaposition between the flat band followed by the billow of the sleeve. Learn this trick. Live for this trick. Plus side, it'll also make your arms look so slender..I promise that's not something you'd ever thought you'd be anxious about, but now that you're thinking about your forearms, don't worry. This'll take all the stress off.
If you're super chill, scrunch your sleeve. I'm not going to lie, this is how I wear it most, and often without even intending to. There's a subtle sexiness, like a "don't mind me, boys, I'm just going to get my hands dirty real quick. Toss me a shovel." Slightly disheveled and absolutely mindless, but somehow cute. If you have your sleeve cuffed, try scrunching it, too. You'll love it.
The statement. Every outfit that you put together needs to have an element that's 100% unique to you. For me, its white converse and my necklace. Everyone has that one necklace that they never take off or that tells a story about you without you having to say a word. It can be Kendra Scott, a $5 necklace you bought on Congress St. in Austin, or the one you ordered special from England (that's mine, we're extra..no shame). If you want to make it a little more special, pair a statement with it. This one is my statement necklace that I've had since high school that I wore on my first ever date. I'm known for it. For you, it may be Chacos or Jandals or combat boots with your Tiffany Charm pendant. Whatever it is, it's you, and that my dear, is perfect.
Wide-Leg jeans and a scarf.
There's something about this look that takes me back to 2007. All I need are some $1 Old Navy flip flops and Laguna Beach on MTV. I'm so glad that this is 2018 and we can be a little more refined while being comfy. Remember that sweatshirt from middle school we were talking about earlier? I'm going to level with you..I've had these jeans since my freshman year of high school. I have no shame sharing that with you. What we love about the sweatshirt and wide leg jean is the "out-there" factor. If you asked your Average Josephine, she'd wear skinny jeans with a sweatshirt. Trust, we are all for that...see? But look at that wide leg. I. DIE. I knew you'd get it.
Let's talk scarves.
This is where you add your special sauce that makes this look truly you. If you're feeling on trend, and its not approximately a million degrees out, opt for a bandana scarf. Bandana scarves ARE NOT created equal. They can be different weights and sizes that completely dictate how they're used and worn.
If its like actually cold out, go for a real life scarf. Here's the thing. Wear your favorite one. I don't care if its rainbow, has cat ears and paws on it, or is the infinity scarf you made when you decided to take up knitting last winter when you were snowed in for 3 days. Wear that one. This sweatshirt is the epitome of neutral. Keyword: SPECIAL SAUCE. I'm going to tell you the secret to style, wear whatever you have on and know that you are the hottest girl in the room. As soon as you do that, you are. Everyone is looking at you because you are literally wearing your confidence. you. do. you. boo.
Q:"But homegirl, like..how do I tie my scarf?"
A: "However the heck you want to!"
Wrap your infinity scarf around your neck 3 times so you're rocking a donut or take a blanket and throw half of it over your shoulder (channel your inner Lenny Kravitz. look it up. iconic). Tie your bandana scarf around your head like a headband, tie it like an actual bandana, wear it as a cloth choker, around your left wrist with your watch, around your thigh, or like Mila Kunis as Jackie from That 70's Show. I repeat: you. do. you.
If a really hot guy asks you to coffee, or bowling because he's really cool, wear this. I guarantee you get a second date. ps..invite us to your wedding.
