Be a Nice Human
Share
There are some sayings that you stand behind so much that you live by them and then wear across your chest to tell others to follow suit. I heard someone say earlier this week "Being nice benefits you, being kind benefits others." I couldn't agree more, but like also, I think being nice to someone can be the best thing you can do for yourself. Especially if your girls are telling it to the world. Just a friendly reminder to all you come in contact with throughout your day.
If you have read any of the loose tee posts, you'll know that I wear a loose tee at least 3 days a week. They are the best cut, the softest fabric, and the most comfortable of any top I've ever worn. Added bonus, there's no wrong way to wear them. This is where I run into issues when writing to you. 1: there are too many options to type, 2: I honestly only ever my go-to corner tuck. I confess. I am a creature of habit. It's just so easy and quick! (If you have no idea what I'm, talking about, go read the Whoa Nelly post. I'll share my secret with you there). I'm going to lay out a few new and slightly unconventional ways that I wear these tees.
I truly can't be bothered
Some days require you to be a functioning member of society, but you just can't. #cantadulttoday. Or maybe you're having a slumber party, because that's something that should totally be socially acceptable in your 20's. These are the days that you're allowed to wear sweats in public. If you can throw on some tinted moisturizer and mascara 1: you're winning at life, 2: I'm going to show you how to look like those models you see in VS Pink ads. Plus no one can judge you for wearing sweats because your shirt is literally telling them to be nice. No losing here.
Tapered pants
Speaking of VS Pink, those sweats were life. Praises that we all realized that a tapered leg can be, here's the technical term, scrunched. So many brands have jumped on that bandwagon and I am all for it. Chances are you have at least one pair in your closet (and let's be real, are wearing one of them right now). Throw those on for me real quick with this top. 2 options: corner tuck and a full on tuck. Even though it takes no effort to tuck in your shirt, the entire look instantly become polished and purposeful instead of "I just rolled off the couch."

Old school sweats
Colder weather for me is synonymous with comfort, and sometimes that means that I'll wear my sorority issued sweat pants that I've had for 5 years. This may be out of your comfort zone, but honey, embrace it...YOU'RE HOT! Tie your top into a crop top. You are completely in control of how cropped it is. But like dang! This is like 90's pop princess meets street fashion icon. Try it. If you don't love it, there's always a corner tuck. (getting tired of it yet?)
I just went to the gym..?
This is the ultimate trick. If you did go to the gym, I'm proud of you. If you didn't and have no plans to, but want to look like you have something together, I feel you. You're winning at life. Essentially, this "gym" look is the same as the old school sweats look, just with leggings. This is the ultimate Instagram-able outfit.

Driving's just my day job
Listen, somedays call for trucker caps. I don't judge you for that. maybe you had the BEST curl day yesterday, but oh em goodness your hair is dirty, because those curls were on second day hair. Embrace is. Throw up a messy bun, roll up your sleeves, and conquer your day in a way only you can. We love wearing this with distressed boyfriend jeans or leggings and sandals. The vest for sure has no warmth factor here, but dang does it add some personality. My grandfather was a truck driver for years, and there's something about this look that I swear I can smell him standing next to me. Ahhhh the sweet smell of nostalgia.

It's Miss Rogers, thank you very much.
You know that cardigan that has no shape that you've had since high school? The one that you've worn on those late night bonfires and is about to have holes worn in the elbows? Yes, that one. Wear it. Also, your favorite scarf. And your biggest most favorite glasses (even if they're just for show). This screams 8AM Intermediate Microeconomics class to me. Maybe because this is what I wore everyday to class, after staying up all night studying or sitting in Whataburger with my sorority sisters...let's be real, it was for sure the second of those two options. Shameless. This look is the epitome of fall. Depending on the weather, you can wear sandals, jandals, tennis shoes, or UGGS (I always chose this option because I still want it to be 2008). Our favorite way to wear this is the more grown up version of my Sophomore year look. We wear our hair curled and add a long necklace under the scarf. You never know where your day is going to take you, or what really amazing guy you may meet on your afternoon Starbucks run.

Whether you are wearing this shirt or not, please be a nice human. Always. With everything that is going on in the world, being a nice human is the best thing you can be. It's always the days that we have this shirt on that somehow we end up in the worst mood only to look down and be reminded of what we stand for. Now, we know you're always a precious angel, but just in case, reminder!
